Position Summary
Our Research &
Development center in Konolfingen near Bern / Switzerland develops for Nestlé
worldwide, new products, processes and packaging in the areas of Dairy and
Nutrition. The Nestlé Product Technology Centre Dairy plans and develops
Innovation & Renovation pipelines to support growth and profitability of
our Dairy business via a consumer centric approach. It ensures scientific,
technological, and manufacturing excellence through the development of the
right competences.
As an R&D Associate
Specialist Animal Science, you will support carbon footprint reduction projects
for fresh milk at farm level in order to contribute to the Nestle net zero
greenhouse gas emission commitment. You will be part of our newly created team:

A day in the life of an R&D Associate Specialist Animal Science
- Support projects within R&D Agriculture in order to achieve the objectives of carbon footprint reduction
- Build and document knowledge about latest methods, trends, and developments in relevant field of activity
- Explore breakthrough process or technology that are patentable
- Recommend, plan, and deliver technical and scientific support for NPTC projects
- Lead and manage knowledge building and business-related project activities with a proactive participation
- Present results/methods in written and oral form to interested parties or visitors
- Develop related tools and competencies in the domain of activity
- Participate actively in expert network to promote cross-fertilization between different sites
What will make you successful ?
- University degree in Agricultural / Animal Science
- First practical experience in relevant fields
- Experience in R&D or operations in relevant field is an additional asset
- Understanding of sustainability / greenhouse gas aspects of farming
- Strong passion and curiosity for innovation and disruptive concepts
- Good written and oral communication skills (including presentations)
- Good interpersonal skills and teamwork spirit
- Entrepreneurial mindset
- Fluent in oral and written English is a must
- Knowledge of other language (French, German, Spanish, etc.) is a plus
